Hester C. Jeffrey

Hester C. Jeffrey was an African-American activist, suffragist, and community organizer in Rochester, New York, and New York City. She worked with Susan B. Anthony and was instrumental in the establishment of the first memorial for Anthony, a stained-glass window at the Memorial AME Zion Church. She was also a member of the National Association of Colored Women and the Susan B. Anthony Suffrage Club.
